The Appeal of the iPad

The original iPad was what is now considered to be the first and likely the original slate or tablet computer. The iPad was at first a strange concept because so many people felt that it was an odd way to design a computer but after a few months it began to catch on. Now that it has been many years since the original release it is pretty obvious that the iPad was not just some strange contraption as it is now the leader of the fastest growing home computer market, the tablet market.

The iPad was a hot seller for quite some time, but obviously that dominance had to come to an end. Apple eventually decided to kill off the iPad for something better, the iPad 2, which now dominates the market itself with absolutely no problem. The iPad 2 was met with stiff competition but because of the power, performance, and ease of use the iPad 2 has essentially remained the undisputed champion of tablet computers. The iPad 2 has some of the craziest and most useful apps available and without these the entire thing would be useless, fortunately there are hundreds of thousands of apps available that keep iPad and iPad 2 users constantly entertained.

Other than that the iPad 2 is simply one of the greatest marketing business plans ever. Thousands of Apple customers upgraded from the iPadĀ  to the iPad 2 shortly after release simply because they wanted to experience the latest and greatest performance and in the end it was a worthwhile upgrade. The iPad 2 is so much more advanced than the original iPad and nearly all Android tablets that it is amazing that any of the inferior devices even sell at all. Overall the iPad 2 is such an incredibly powerful and incredibly useful tablet that it is not surprising whatsoever that Apple has had such incredible success with the iPad 2 and the iPad lineup itself.

Apple has definitely done a great job with the iPad ever since release and we can only imagine how great the iPad 3 will likely be. It may be a year or more before we actually see or hear any news of the iPad 3 but once it comes out Apple will likely have yet another dominant player in the tablet market. Fortunately there is plenty of Android competition heating up which should help drive performance up and prices down in order to compete with the lower priced tablets. In the end the consumer will definitely win thanks to Apple’s iPad and the various Android tablets available on the market right now, only time will tell what the iPad 3 has in store though.

Three Of The Best Accessories for the iPad 2

The iPad and iPad 2 have taken the tablet world by storm. With that success comes the inevitable wave of accessories for this winning machine. A few of those iPad 2 accessories are included here in this quick article.

The first iPads were written off as “silly toys”. The sales data that has come in has revealed that idea to be an ignorant assessment. Now that the iPad 2 has come on the market after the blazing success of the its predecessor, accessories are coming out of the woodwork. One of the obvious is the inclusion of an external keyboard. But if you could somehow get a case that can also convert to a keyboard, it could be worth two times as much. That is what you get with a Zaggfolio Bluetooth keyboard case for the iPad 2. It does both and does it wirelessly. The keyboard looks cool and it also does the job of propping up the tablet into a position to see what is being typed. It makes the iPad into something of a laptop.

The second cool accessory for the iPad 2 is the Logitech Joystick. The majority of those who download anything for their iPad are downloading games. The Logitech Joystick is a great tool to use while playing. The joystick is a small clear plastic device that sticks on the front of the iPad 2. It is spring loaded to act like a real joystick. It is created in such a way that using it will not scratch the display of the tablet. It comes with its own case and works with games like “Real Racing 2 HD” and others. The price for the joystick is amicable. It is just $20 dollars.

The iPad 2 can come with a protective cover, but it is not like the Rickshaw Bagworks iPad 2 Bag. This allows an iPad owner to strap on the bag and transport the tablet in a bit of style. The bag is super light and made of tweed. The tweed is polyester and is very flexible. The Rickshaw Bagworks bag is comfortable to wear, but made for people who are not overly tall. People six feet tall or more say the strap is too short for them. There is some padding in the bag to protect the iPad if you insert it without a case. The bag weighs one pound and the price is $75 dollars. Smaller sizes are available for lesser prices from Rickshaw.
